Go with the Timbuk2 Commute XL (http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/catalog/categories.t...) and you won't be disappointed.

I agree with Brian. I've been using a Timbukt2 Commute XL for about a year now with my Toshiba M200 Tablet PC (12.1") and Moleskine and it has stood up very nicely. Taken it on a number of flights, drives, etc. and everything has stayed snug and dry inside (it has these little "ears" that seal the top of the bag against moisture when you close it) . It's not too big but has a substantial amount of room. Very sturdy construction too - still looks essentially brand new.

This post suddenly got resurrected this morning (Thanks to Cameron!).

My preference (if I ever discover the secret to disposable income) would be to go with either the Waterfield or the Timbuktu. David Parmet (http://parmet.net/pr/) swore off the Timbuktu after it failed miserably on him.

Until then, I lug the Inspiron 8500 (Sexy...NOT!) around in a Targus laptop backpack...

    I am such a dork.

a large hole and some ugly separation of the rear padding lining and the embossed pad. Just cosmetic I know, but still annoying for an expensive bag.

Bad day at the factory maybe since my daughter's oh-so-stylish blue and white Commute of similar age is hanging like a champ, but Like David Parmet above, I'm severely disappointed with the glacial speed of my RMA.
